Ultra-Thin Type-C External CD/DVD Burner for Laptop and Desktop

This ultra-thin portable CD external suction burner gives Type-C computers a way to read and record optical discs without relying on a built-in drive. It connects through a Type-C interface and uses plug-and-play, driver-free installation, which keeps setup simple for everyday users. The drive supports CD, VCD, and DVD recording, with one important distinction: DVD recording is supported on the Type-C3.0 version but not on the Type-C2.0 version. It accepts both 12cm and 8cm discs and includes an error correction function. The unit measures 138 x 142 x 16 mm, so it stays compact on a desk or in a laptop bag. It is available in silver, gold, and rose gold. Supported operating systems include Windows XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10, MacOS X, and WIN98SE/ME/2000. The package contains the USB CD drive and a user manual; CDs are not included. Manual measurement may result in slight size variation.

Features and Construction

The drive is built around a Type-C interface and a suction loading mechanism, with a slim body that measures 138 x 142 x 16 mm. It is designed for Type-C interface computers and supports both 12cm and 8cm discs. The error correction function adds a practical layer for reading discs that may otherwise be difficult to access.

Interface and Connection

The product uses a Type-C interface and connects to Type-C interface computers. Installation is plug-and-play and driver-free, so no additional driver setup is described in the source information. This makes it relevant for users who want a straightforward external optical drive for a laptop or desktop. The connection method is central to how the product works, and it should be matched to a computer with a Type-C port.

Disc Support and Recording

The drive supports CD, VCD, and DVD recording. The Type-C3.0 specification supports DVD recording, while the Type-C2.0 specification does not. Both versions accept 12cm and 8cm discs. The error correction function is included, which can assist with disc reading and recording tasks. Buyers should choose the specification that matches their recording needs, particularly if DVD writing is required.

Uses and Placement

This external drive is intended for Type-C interface computers, including laptops and desktops that need an optical disc reader or writer. Its ultra-thin shape and compact footprint make it suitable for desk use or for carrying in a bag. It can be used for reading and recording CDs, VCDs, and DVDs where supported.

Laptop and Desktop Use

The drive is designed for Type-C interface computers, making it relevant for modern laptops and desktops that may not include a built-in optical drive. It can be connected when discs need to be read or recorded. The plug-and-play, driver-free installation helps reduce setup steps. The 138 x 142 x 16 mm size keeps it manageable on a desk or beside a laptop.

Portable Placement

The ultra-thin, portable form is suited to moving between rooms or carrying in a laptop bag. It measures 138 x 142 x 16 mm and weighs little enough to be described as portable in the source text. The suction loading mechanism and error correction function support disc handling. It accepts 12cm and 8cm discs, so it can work with standard and smaller disc formats.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main value comes from combining Type-C connectivity, driver-free installation, and support for CD, VCD, and DVD recording in a slim external unit. It offers a way to use optical discs on Type-C computers without an internal drive. The error correction function and dual disc-size support add practical flexibility.

Easy Setup and Daily Use

Plug-and-play, driver-free installation means the drive can be connected without a described driver installation process. It supports operating systems including XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10, MacOS X, and WIN98SE/ME/2000. The Type-C interface connects to compatible computers. This makes it a practical option for reading and recording discs on Type-C laptops and desktops.

Choosing the Right Specification

Buyers should note that DVD recording is supported on the Type-C3.0 version but not on the Type-C2.0 version. Both versions accept 12cm and 8cm discs and include an error correction function. The drive is available in silver, gold, and rose gold. The package includes the USB CD drive and a user manual, with CDs not included. Manual measurement may cause slight variation in the stated 138 x 142 x 16 mm size.
