Features and Construction

The camera combines a weather-resistant housing with HD imaging components. Its construction is designed for outdoor use, with a focus on reliable operation across a range of temperatures.

Material and Build

The housing is made from IP66 waterproof plastic, which provides protection against dust and water ingress. This makes it suitable for outdoor environments where exposure to rain or moisture is a concern. The dome shape adds a low-profile appearance. The plastic material keeps the unit lightweight for mounting.

Size and Practical Fit

The 3.6mm lens offers a wide viewing angle, and the effective distance of up to 60 metres supports coverage of large areas. The camera operates on DC 12V 2A power, which is a common specification for surveillance equipment. Its operating temperature range of -10°C to 60°C allows for use in various weather conditions.

Uses and Placement

This camera is suited to both professional and home security setups. Its outdoor rating and PTZ control make it adaptable to different monitoring needs.

Event or Professional Use

For commercial premises, the camera can monitor entrances, car parks, or perimeters. The alarm function and PTZ control allow for active surveillance. The 60-metre effective distance helps cover expansive areas without multiple units.

Everyday Home Use

At home, it can be placed in gardens, driveways, or backyards. The IP66 housing withstands outdoor conditions, and the HD resolution provides clear footage for identifying visitors or activities. The optional storage capacities (32GB, 64GB, 128GB) allow for local recording.

Benefits and Buying Value

The camera offers a combination of HD imaging, outdoor durability, and active monitoring features. Its design supports long-term outdoor use with minimal maintenance.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The IP66 plastic housing resists weather exposure, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. The camera's operating temperature range supports year-round use in many climates. No specialist care is required beyond occasional cleaning of the lens and housing.
