Seven-Colour Backlit Mini Wireless Keyboard with 10-Metre 2.4GHz Range

This Flying Squirrel mini keyboard offers a compact, wireless typing solution designed for users seeking portability and convenience. Its primary strength lies in its 2.4GHz wireless technology, which allows for a stable connection with your computer or laptop from up to 10 metres away. Weighing just 0.15kg and measuring 152mm wide by 102mm deep, it takes up minimal desk space and is easy to slip into a bag. The integrated seven-colour backlighting ensures the English key labels remain visible whether you're working in a dimly lit room or during evening hours. Powered via USB and supplied with a charging cable, it provides a self-contained system for cord-free operation.

Features and Construction

The keyboard combines wireless convenience with practical, space-saving design. Its core functionality is built around reliable wireless communication and user-friendly features suitable for everyday computing tasks.

Material and Build

Constructed with a plastic housing, the keyboard achieves its lightweight 0.15kg profile. This material choice contributes to the product's overall portability. The touch-sensitive keys are integrated into this housing, providing a sleek, low-profile surface. The build focuses on delivering the core wireless typing function in a durable, travel-friendly format without unnecessary bulk.

Size and Practical Fit

With dimensions of 152mm in width, 102mm in depth, and a slim 13mm thickness, this keyboard has a significantly smaller footprint than standard full-sized models. This makes it ideal for cluttered desks, as a secondary keyboard for a media centre PC, or for pairing with a compact laptop. The 0.15kg weight further enhances its portability, allowing it to be easily moved between different workstations or taken on the go.

Uses and Placement

The combination of wireless range and compact size opens up several practical applications, from professional settings to casual home use. Its flexibility is a key aspect of its design.

Event or Professional Use

For presentations, exhibitions, or controlled environments where presenters need to move freely, the 10-metre wireless range is a significant advantage. It allows the user to operate a slideshow or control a display from across the room without being tethered to the computer. Its small size and light weight also make it a practical choice for IT technicians or support staff who carry a toolkit and need a reliable, portable input device for on-site work.

Everyday Home Use

At home, this keyboard can serve as a neat, space-saving primary keyboard for a compact desktop setup or a neat accessory for a home theatre PC (HTPC). The wireless functionality reduces cable clutter on the desk or entertainment unit. The backlighting is particularly useful for late-night browsing or gaming in a darkened room. Its portability also means it can be quickly shifted from a desk to a coffee table or sofa for more relaxed computing.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this keyboard stems from its specific combination of wireless technology, portability, and practical features that address common user needs for flexibility and convenience.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The product is designed for repeated, long-term use. Being USB rechargeable with the supplied cable eliminates the ongoing cost and hassle of replacing disposable batteries. This rechargeable system supports sustainable reuse. The simple construction and lack of complex mechanical parts suggest straightforward maintenance, primarily involving keeping the device clean and ensuring it is charged.

Why Choose This Product

You should consider this keyboard if your priority is a typing solution that offers genuine portability (lightweight, compact) alongside the freedom of a reliable 10-metre wireless connection. It is a logical choice over bulkier wired or wireless keyboards when desk space is limited or when you need to easily transport the device. The seven-colour backlighting adds a practical benefit for low-light use that is not always available on basic portable keyboards, providing clearer visibility of the standard English layout keys.
